University Paideia is...
an intensive four week summer institute at Stanford University to hone research and critical thinking skills with the objective of developing and teaching a unit of instruction;
a program that brings together high school students, undergraduates, and graduate students in a collaborative environment to construct and share knowledge;
grounded in strategies borrowed from best practices in teaching the humanities;
an environment in which a 1:2 mentor to student ratio provides support for high school students;
designed to help students develop the skills necessary to succeed in college and beyond;
a support network that will meet throughout the school year for workshops and academic advice.
